Construction work has started on Dubai-based Samana Developers’ $27.2m (AED100m) real estate project Samana Hills, its second project that is located in the Arjan neighbourhood near Miracle Gardens, with completion on the scheme set for Q4 2021.

The five-floor development features 205 residential units ranging from studio to one- and two-bedroom apartments.

Dubai-based Conforce Arabia Contracting has been appointed as main contractor for Samana Hills.

In a statement, the company said that work on Samana Hills had commenced a year after the developer started construction on its maiden project, the $20.4m (AED75m) Samana Greens, which is also located in Arjan.

Commenting on the project, group chief executive officer of Samana Group, Imran Farooq, said: “This is the second ground-breaking ceremony within less than two years and reflects our strong commitment to the UAE’s real estate market.”

Farooq said Samana Hills “will also be delivered on time and with the promised quality”, adding: “The UAE’s real estate market will grow further if more affordable homes like our Samana Hills are built to help the middle-income families to move into their freehold homes from the rented homes.”

Studios within Samana Hills will cost $108,645 (AED399,000), while prices for one-bedroom apartments start from $163,104 (AED599,000).
