Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) revealed that it had, in collaboration with Department of Education and Knowledge (Adek), started six school construction projects in Bani Yas, Al Rahba, Al Riyadh, Al Dhaher, Al Bahia, and Shiab Al Ashkhar under a $272.2m (AED1bn) programme to realise the vision of President HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and to fulfill the directives of HH Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to deliver educational projects as part of Abu Dhabi Future Schools Programme.

Musanada said that its educational project construction programmes were driven by sustainability requirements and a mandate to preserve energy resources.

The new schools will feature up-to-date electromechanical systems, including air-conditioning and firefighting networks, in line with Adek’s design manual and requirements.

According to UAE state news agency, Wam, Adek said the designs of future schools in Abu Dhabi would focus on inspiring creativity and innovation in students.
