HH Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, has allocated 2ha of land for the expansion of Higher Colleges of Technology’s (HCT) campus in the emirate, with his approval granted following a meeting at his palace in Rumailah with HCT's vice chancellor, Dr Abdullatif Al Shamsi.

UAE state news agency, Wam, reported that Sheikh Hamad was updated about the college's 'HCT 4.0 – Employability and Beyond' programme, which focuses on upskilling and competencies, entrepreneurship, and life-long learning, during his meeting.

HCT owns 16 campuses and accommodates 23,200 students across the UAE.
