Musanada notes $6m worth activities across Abu Dhabi schools

The Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) has noted completion of $6m (AED22m) worth of summer maintenance works across 115 schools in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra, with the facility management division of the firm having completed renovation works valued at $2m (AED7.5m) at the Al Yarmouk School in Abu Dhabi.
According to UAE's state-held news agency, Wam, maintenance activities worth $3.3m (AED12m) covering 40 schools were performed in Abu Dhabi, followed by $1.4m (AED5.1m) worth of works being accomplished at 53 schools in Al Ain, and workd valued at $1.3m (AED4.9m) were carried out at 22 schools in Al Dhafra region.
Musanada's maintenance works included carrying out preventive maintenance for air conditioning units, electric panels, alarm and firefighting equipment, safety and control equipment, as well as surveillance cameras.
Additionally, periodical maintenance works pertaining to swimming pools and bathrooms were also carried out in addition to cleaning of water tanks in line with regulations and requirements alongside maintenance of lifts, validation of the conditions of the technical inspection, and building management systems.
According to Wam, the total number of schools covered by periodical maintenance activities throughout the year accounted to 281 schools, including 129 in Abu Dhabi, 121 in Al Ain city, and 31 schools in the Al Dhafra region.
The UAE's Ministry of Education (MoE) has worked alongside Musanada for the project that has been aimed at providing a healthy educational environmentm, whilst enhancing the specifications of school buildings and facilities in Abu Dhabi.
