Construction work on Tadawul-listed Arabian Cement Company’s plant in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia is 99.3% complete, completion due in Q1 2020 and commercial operations scheduled to begin in Q2 next year.

In an Arabic-language stock market filing, the company revealed that the contractor’s “failure to comply with the schedule” caused project delays.

The company added, however, that the delay in construction work had not affected the “costs associated with the project”, adding that it would “not have any impact on the company’s financial results” either.

Arabian Cement Co added that it was studying Phase 2 a clinker production line project as well.
