Sheikh Sultan approves new HQ for Sharjah's EIBFS near University City
Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies' new HQ to replace current structure, built in 1983
HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has allocated a building near the Sharjah University City for Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS) as its new headquarters, with the complex set to replace the existing headquarters built in 1983.
The UAE’s state-held news agency, Wam cited general manager of EIBFS, Jamal Al Jismi, as saying: "This grant is a continuation of HH’s keenness to develop educational institutes and support seekers of knowledge in Sharjah.”
Al Jismi added that the new location would help EIBFS “foster mutually beneficial academic relationships” with education institutions located within University City, which is home to Skyline University College, American University of Sharjah, and Higher College of Technology Sharjah Women’s Campus (SJW).
According to Wam, the new headquarters is equipped with a virtual stock exchange room that will provide students with an experience of a realistic stock exchange environment.
