Marriott's St Regis Al Mouj Muscat hotel in Oman to open in 2022
The St Regis resort and branded residences will be the fourth hotel within Al Mouj Muscat and feature 271 luxury rooms
American hotel operator Marriott International will open its first St Regis resort and branded residences at Oman's Al Mouj Muscat, a partnership between the Government of Oman, UAE real estate giant Majid Al Futtaim Properties, and Oman National Investments Development Company (Tanmia), located along a 6km coastline facing the Arabian Sea.
According to a statement by Marriott, the St Regis hotel – which is currently under construction and due to open in 2022 – will feature 271 luxury rooms and 170 branded residences, as well as corporate facilities, dining outlets, a VIP lounge, a business centre, a deluxe wellness centre and spas, and a health club.
Plans for the resort also include a 1,100m2 ballroom for corporate gatherings, special events, and weddings.
The St Regis resort will be the fourth hotel in the Al Mouj Muscat project, which has two completed hotels, and another property that is almost ready.
A launch event for the St Regis Al Mouj Muscat was held under the patronage of Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, HH Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq Al Said.
