Sheikh Sultan opens Sharjah Private Education Authority's new HQ
Ruler of Sharjah inaugurates Mleiha Road facility to mark Teacher's Day on 5 October 2019
HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated the new headquarters of Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) on 5 October 2019 — observed each year as Teacher’s Day in the UAE — with the facility located on the emirate’s Mleiha Road.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Sheikh Sultan said: "This is a happy day to meet here in the new headquarters of SPEA, especially as it coincides with one of the most beautiful occasions that is Teacher’s Day.”
The ceremony was attended by commander-in-chief of Sharjah Police, Maj Gen Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi; member of Sharjah Executive Coucil and chairman of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources, Dr Tariq Sultan bin Khadem; chairman of Sharjah Education Council, Dr Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi; head of protocol and hospitality department, Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi; chairman of Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa), Dr Eng Rashid Al-Leem; and a number of education specialists.
The Ruler of Sharjah said that private tutoring centres should be opened in the emirate in order to employ retired teachers.
During the ceremony, Sheikh Sultan also launched four educational electronic platforms to help develop the private schooling system in the emirate, the UAE's state news agency, Wam, reported.
