Oil services company Petrofac, which was established in the UAE in 1991, has been awarded a contract to support the appraisal and selection phase of London-listed Jersey Oil & Gas’s (JOG) Greater Buchan Area development in the UK’s North Sea.

Petrofac will provide facilities and well support to JOG, which was awarded the development opportunity at the completion of the 31st Supplementary Offshore Licencing Round in July 2019.

UAE state news agency Wam reported that the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor will support JOG’s field development plan with an integrated concept package that combines expertise from its engineering and consultancy services business in Woking, England, and a well team based in Aberdeen, Scotland.

In September 2019, Petrofac won a contract to provide managed maintenance services for the Haliba field, operated by Abu Dhabi’s Al Dhafra Petroleum.
