Fujairah's Sheikh Hamad orders 64km internal roads construction

Construction work on 64km of internal roads will be carried out within Fujairah's Dibba, Al Tawabeen, Dhedna, Wadi Al Sadr, Al Henya, Al Surum, Massafi, Awahla, Wadi Mai, Bulaidah, and Al Bathnah areas following orders issued by HH Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, during the second meeting of Fujairah Emirate Development Committee. 

The Fujairah Ruler stressed on the importance of developing infrastructure and supporting local services in alignment with the UAE Vision 2021 and Fujairah’s Comprehensive Plan 2030.

Sheikh Hamad issued Law No. 02 of 2019 for the formation of Fujairah Development Committee. The committee will be chaired by the Fujairah Ruler, with members including HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah; directors of Fujairah and Dibba Municipalities; and the director of Department of Works and Agriculture of Fujairah.

The committee will develop plans and strategic policies to encourage investments and launch development projects in Fujairah, the UAE's state news agency, Wam reported.
