Eagle Hills awards MJM main works contract for Kalba Waterfront mall
Contract involves architecture, infrastructure, and landscaping of the 20km2 mall along Kalba’s natural lagoon in Sharjah
Eagle Hills Sharjah, a joint venture between Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) and Abu Dhabi-based real estate developer Eagle Hills, announced that it has awarded the contract for the main works of the Kalba Waterfront in Sharjah to MJM Contracting llc.
The contract involves the architecture, infrastructure, and landscaping of the Kalba Waterfront mall – an integrated leisure and shopping destination with a total built area of 20km2 that is due to open in H2 2020 along the edge of Kalba’s natural lagoon.
The mall will feature retail outlets, food and beverage outlets, outdoor dining options, a waterfront promenade and terraces, a supermarket, a food court, and a family entertainment centre.
Commenting on the award of the contract, chief executive of Eagle Hills, Low Ping, said: “Eagle Hills is fully committed to developing a unique leisure and shopping destination in Kalba, Sharjah, through an innovative retail concept offering advanced shopping facilities complemented with a variety of outdoor experiences.
