Private healthcare provider American Hospital Dubai, which is part of Dubai-based Mohamed & Obaid Al Mulla Group, has formed a joint venture agreement with Swedish in-vitro fertilization (IVF) company Livio AB to establish an IVF centre with a specialised laboratory, wherein a fertility treatment centre will be operated inside American Hospital Dubai with medical expertise supplied by Livio.

Law firm Baker McKenzie advised the joint venture in a team led by Pietro de Libero, corporate and M&A partner at Baker McKenzie, with support from lawyer Nermin El Tayeb and Sweden based IP partner, Peder Oxhammar.

Libero said: “The partnership reinforces American Hospital Dubai’s commitment to the well-being of the UAE and the region, and supports the UAE’s drive to be a leading regional hub for medical tourism and an incubator for world class healthcare services.”
