Oman’s Tender Board awards projects worth $202.6m
Projects of note include $12.2m (RO4.7m) for construction and works at the Sultanate’s Expo 2020 Dubai pavilion
Oman’s Tender Board during its 10th meeting awarded works to complement developmental projects worth $202.6m (RO78m) under the direction of the board’s chairman, Rashid bin Al Safi al- Huraibi.
Projects of note that have been approved by the board include $12.2m (RO4.7m) allocated for construction and works at the Sultanate’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai; and $18.66m (RO7.18m) for the construction of two dams for groundwater on Wadi Al Qafeefah and Wadi Al Wareed in the Wilayat of Ibra, Governorate of North A'Sharqiyah for the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources.
The board awarded projects for: The completion of construction of a building for the Secretariat General of the Supreme Council for Planning; the operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment and civil maintenance at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) for 2020-2021; the provision of periodic maintenance services, with the provision of spare parts for medical equipment to a number of hospitals and health units under the Ministry of Health; the provision of general cleaning services at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) during the period from January 2020 to December 2021; additional works for the civil works project at the Muscat International Airport for the Ministry of Transport; and the completed works for the construction of Ras Al Hadd Airport in the Governorate of South A'Sharqiyah (Package Two) for the Ministry of Transport, among others.
