Dubai Municipality, RTA collaborate on infra projects management
Both authorities discussed road intersections redesigning projects within residential areas for UAE nationals and commercial areas
Dubai Municipality (DM) and the emirate’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have been discussing ways to work in coordination in order to better manage infrastructure projects in Dubai as part of a meeting being chaired director general of Dubai Municipality, Dawoud Al Hajri, and director general and chairman of the board of directors of RTA, Mattar Al Tayer.
During the meeting, the two authorities also discussed projects for the redesigning of road intersections in the residential areas occupied by UAE nationals, as well as commercial areas within the emirate.
Teams from both DM and RTA also looked at the project for replotting paved parking area for the Deira Square project, with the teams having also discussed the five-year plan for paving residential areas, in addition to supporting RTA for the Route 2020 project.
As part of the meeting, DM also revealed its idea of an electronic system to study infrastructure projects using geospatial application, which can be accessed by RTA for its road projects in Dubai.
