Ajman’s $163.4m (AED600m) Mirkaaz Mall, expected to be a one-of-a-kind community mall project in the region, will be officially launched by the end of 2020.

Once complete, the mall will comprise more than 100 shops, 15 premium restaurants, and 13 F&B outlets, in addition to a dedicated family entertainment area, botanical gardens, a health and fitness centre, and a 15,000m2 hypermarket.

The mall will also host the world’s third-largest cinema exhibition company Cinépolis Cinemas, with 11 screens within a 4,307m2 area. This comprises multiple auditorium concepts, including three Luxury auditoriums with an exclusive lobby, service-at-your-seat, and an exclusive gourmet menu; one Macro XE auditorium with Dolby Atmos Surround Sound; one Cinépolis Junior auditorium; and six Premium auditoriums with leather rocking seats.

The mall’s launch will also coincide with the Ajman 2021 vision, which aims to create a happy society with a green economy that provides growth opportunities and an improved lifestyle.

Mirkaaz Mall, which has an atrium roof built on 7,920m2 of land, is located on Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road (E311) at the juncture of Sharjah and Ajman, making it a 20-minutes drive from the Dubai International Airport, and a 13-minute drive from the Sharjah International Airport.

Construction Week reported in January 2018 that Ajman Holding had appointed China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) Middle East to develop and construct the shopping destination in Ajman.

Commenting on the mall’s offerings, managing director of Ajman Holding, Yahya Al Jasmi, said: “Mirkaaz will be a fitting testament of Ajman Holding's innovative spirit and its long-standing commitment to its home market.”

Al Jasmi added: “Capitalizing on Ajman’s recent developments, we’re trying to build a brand-new experience based on the concept of community bonding. It’s the first of its kind in Ajman, and what we’re going to offer is entirely different from the community mall models across the world.”
