Construction on Abu Dhabi Midfield Terminal more than 97% complete

On the sidelines of ACI Airport Exchange 2019 held from 25 to 27 November at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec), the chief programs officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, Sulaiman Al Siksek said that construction work on the Midfield Terminal Building (MTB) was more than 97% complete.
In a series of tweets on its official Twitter account, Abu Dhabi Airports Company also cited chief executive officer, Bryan Thompson, who said that the company has been using technology to transform the digital journey for travellers from the time they leave home to arrive at their destination.
Floor area at MTB covers 74.2ha space, with the facility set to include 156 check-I counters, 2.8ha of retail and food & beverage outlets, and over 3ha of lounge spaces for passengers.
Earlier this week Abu Dhabi Airports awarded a construction and management contract for MTB’s 3,500m2 lounge, located at the heart of the terminal, to a joint venture of National Aviation Services (Nas) and Airport Dimensions.
