HH Dr Sheikh Sultan approves 4,765 residential plots in Sharjah

Plots to be distributed in Sharjah, Kalba, Khor Fakkan, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Dhaid, Al Madan, Mleiha, Al Hamriyah, and Al Bataeh

HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Urban Planning Council (SUPC), has approved 4,765 residential plots in the emirate for UAE citizens.

According to the UAE’s state-held news agency, Wam, a meeting was held at the Dr Sultan Al Qasimi Centre in Al Darah where it was agreed that 2,300 plots would be distributed in Sharjah, 1,030 in Kalba, 600 in Khor Fakkan, 420 in Dibba Al Hisn, 152 in Al Dhaid, 124 in Al Madan, 68 in Mleiha, 50 in Al Hamriyah, and 12 in Al Bataeh.

During the meeting, Dr Sheikh Sultan directed all parties within the Urban Planning Council to work in collaboration to provide all necessary facilities, services, and infrastructure, as well as conduct weekly meetings to follow up on the projects.

He also directed the Sharjah Planning and Survey Department to speed up the completion process in preparing plans, maps, and carrying out engineering works.

Dr Sheikh Sultan called for the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority to implement an initial road network, in addition to facilitating the work of companies and agencies in carrying out housing and service projects.

Calls were also made for the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority to develop the design, supply, and construct electrical transformers for the residential areas, as well as studying services related to residential areas, including mosques, gardens, and investment buildings.
