UAE-based facilities management firm Emrill has recorded contract wins and renewals worth $167m (AED613.4m) in 2019, marking an increase of more than 23% compared to the corresponding figures in 2018.
In a statement the company said that, the announcement comes after it secured new contract wins in 2018 and 2019, which included Marina Gate, Dubai Hills, Dubai Creek Residences, and Downtown Dubai. Emrill secured over $44m (AED161.6m) in new project awards during the period.
Currently, Emrill provides integrated facilities management to a range of sectors including residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality.
Commenting on the contract wins, chief executive officer of Emrill, Stuart Harrison, credited the firm's employees for being the major factor behind the contract wins.
He added: “At every level of the organisation, we are committed to raising regional FM standards and redefining and improving the client experience – one building, one community and one place at a time. We do this by building value partnerships with our clients, working with them to deliver long-term growth.
“Our commitment to our partners’ success has enabled us to not only win a number of new major projects but also retain existing clients, with over 88% of our new contract wins coming from existing clients.”
According to the firm, contract renewals in 2019 surged 81% compared to the previous years to reach $123m (AED451.8m), with the renewals including Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 and Dubai Opera, under commercial properties, and Royal Amwaj Residences, 23 Marina, and Princess Tower under residential.
Meanwhile, head of business development at Emrill, Philippa Carman, said: “We were delighted to be awarded a six-year contract by Dubai Airports and to continue the excellent partnership we have built over the last four years.
"While the scope of work remains unchanged and will see our staff carrying out cleaning and janitorial services in passenger, stakeholder and logistics areas, we welcome the opportunity to expand our offering into concourse A in addition to concourses B and C.”
Emrill will deploy over 1,000 cleaning staff at Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 for the six-year contract.
