Crown Prince of Ajman unveils UAE's $272.3m Thumbay Medicity
Thumbay Group's facility also features a pneumatic tube system claimed to be the largest-of-its-kind in the UAE
HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of Ajman Executive Council has inaugurated the Thumbay University Hospital, which is located within Thumbay Medicity in Ajman.
Thumbay Group has invested $272.3m (AED1bn) for Thumbay Medicity that includes medical education, healthcare, and research facilities.
A report by the UAE’s state-held news agency, Wam, the Thumbay University Hospital is a includes over a hundred consultation clinics, a 100-bed long-term care and rehabilitation unit, upcoming centre for oncology equipped with PET-CT scan, centre for imaging, in addition to 10 modern surgical suites for all major specialities, a 10-bed dialysis unit, Cath Lab, ICU/CCU/NICU/PICU
The hospital also features a pneumatic tube system — touted to be the largest-of-its-kind in the country. The hospital is home to a Therapeutic Garden, and offers Marhaba Services, in addition to presidential suite rooms, VIP rooms, and private rooms. The hospital also comprises a medical tourism department to serve medical tourists.
