Hyatt reveals plans to expand hotel portfolio in KSA, UAE, and Oman
Hyatt’s Andaz Dubai The Palm will open in late-2019, while its Alila Hinu Bay resort in Oman is slated for a 2020 launch
NYSE-listed Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced its intention to expand its luxury hotel portfolio in Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Oman as part of more than 20 additional hotels and resort projects expected by end-2020 around the globe.
The additions include new properties under the Park Hyatt, Andaz, Alila, Grand Hyatt, Miraval, and The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brands.
As part of the expansion, Hyatt’s Alila brand will open its Alila Hinu Bay resort in Oman in 2020, while its Andaz-branded luxury property Andaz Dubai The Palm is scheduled to open in Dubai in late-2019
Construction Week reported in November 2019 that Andaz Dubai The Palm will be the first Andaz branded property in Dubai and the second in the UAE, joining Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi.
It will feature twin 15-story towers, with 217 guestrooms and 116 serviced apartments, four restaurants, a fitness center, a spa, and exclusive beachfront access.
Meanwhile, The Grand Hyatt is also set to grow, with the Hyatt brand making its debut in the Saudi Arabian market, with the first Grand Hyatt Al Khobar hotel scheduled to open in 2020. The Grand Hyatt brand is also slated to open its first hotel in Kuwait next year.
