Oman Ministry of Housing okays 82 urban plans for 30,000 land plots

In line with Oman’s Ministry of Housing’s efforts to meet the growing demand for land across various provinces within the country, the Sultanate’s Technical Committee of the Interim Mechanism of Urban Planning has approved 82 detailed urban plans to provide more than 30,000 land plots.

During its last meeting of 2019 that was headed by the director general of towns and surveying at the ministry, Dr. Muhammad bin Ali Al-Mutawa, the committee approved the adoption of detailed urban plans in coordination with the relevant authorities in accordance with the approved planning controls and standards, the Oman News Agency revealed in an Arabic-language report.

The 24 plans were approved in plots in Al Dakhiliya governorate in Bahla, Al Hamra, Bidbid, Manah, Izki, and Nizwa, where it provided 8,703 land plots.

While 2,468 plots were provided under 11 plans in North Governorate in Al Qabil, Al Mudaybi, Ibra, and Bidiyah, while four plans were okayed in the South governorate of Sharqiyah in Ja'alan Bani Buhassan, Al Kamil, Al Wafi, Tire, and Ja'alan Bani Bu Ali, where 677 plots were provided.

As part of the meeting the committee also approved four plans in Muscat providind 461 plots in Qurayyat and Al-Amarat, while two plans were okayed in the Musandam governorate in the states of Madha and Khasab, with 257 plots, and 12 plans in Dhofar governorate in Thumrait, Al Mazyona, Salalah, Sadah, and Mirbat, with 9,000 plots. In addition to two plots in Al-Wusta governorate  in the Wilayat of Mahut with 372 land plots.

Three plans were sanctioned in the North Al Batinah governorate in the  states of Saham, Shinas, and Liwa, which provided 1,371 plots of land, and 13 plans in the South Al Batinah governorate in the Wilayats of Nakhl,  Al Musanna, Barka, Wadi Al Ma'awal, Al Awabi, and Rustaq, with 4,920 land plots.

Additionally, six plans were approved in Al-Dhahirah governorate in Dhank, Yunqul, and Ibri, where it provided 2,026 land plots.
