HM King Hamad issues decree reforming Bahrain Tender Board

HM King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa issued Decree 1 of 2020 reforming the Bahrain Tender Board, which will be chaired by the chief executive officer of the kingdom’s Urban Planning and Development Authority, Shaikh Nayef bin Khalid bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa.

The newly-reformed board will have the undersecretary of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Khayyat as the deputy CEO.

According to the decree, the Tender Board sees the membership of six other members for a two-year period. The six members are, CEO of Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE), Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Daina; Isa Radhi Mohammed Al-Aradi; advisor for the Modernisation of Bapco in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Said Hussein Abdulrahman; Walid Youssef Al-Sae; Rashid Ahmed Al-Jowder; and HRH the Premier’s Court, Jassim Abdulla Humood.

The Bahrain News Agency said that the decree will be effective from the day after the date of its publication in the kingdom’s Official Gazette.
