Dubai-based real estate developer Danube Properties led by founder and chairman Rizwan Sajwan has noted construction completion on its $81.7m (AED300m) residential and retail project Resortz that is touted to be the firm’s seventh project to have been completed on time.

The development features 444 units divided between residential and retail. Located in Dubai’s Arjan area, Resortz was launched by Danube Properties in 2017.

Speaking about the project, Sajwan said: “This is the first project completion announcement in the new year, and we started 2020 with a very positive note. This is our third project to have completed in just seven months – a feat difficult to match.”

He added that the demand for homes will spike in 2020 owing to Expo 2020 Dubai.

The low-rise development has been developed in the form of a five-star luxury resort, featuring green landscaped spaces, open swimming pool, water features, outdoor catering, barbecue area and children’s play area.

Design of Resortz takes inspiration from the neo-classical architecture of the 18th century Europe. The development also features a dome.

Commenting on the development, director and partner of Danube Properties, Atif Rehman said: “With Resortz, we wanted to offer a royal lifestyle to our customers at an affordable price.”

Rehman added that the company has spent 816,802.2 (AED3m) for upgradation and add-on features for the projects.

He said that the company used Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete (GRC) technology in common shower, vanity, aluminium glass panel doors, shower fittings in common area washrooms, and GRC features
