Bahrain’s assistant undersecretary for Sanitary Drainage at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs, and Urban Planning, Asma Jassim Murad, has confirmed that work on the rainwater drainage network in the kingdom’s Wadi Al-Seal area has been completed.

Bahrain’s Tender Board had awarded the $1.27m (BD477,237) project to Karawan Company and Electrical and Mechanical Services.

Murad said that the drainage network project was aimed at protecting bloc 298 in the Southern Governorate from rainwater.

“The projects included a 1.2km-long rainwater drainage and other stations,” she concluded.
