Miral CEO announces Ferrari World attractions, Yas Bay updates
The Ferrari World attractions to be launched in 2020 include an indoor rollercoaster, ziplines, and the chance to walk on the roof
Yas Island developer Miral’s chief executive officer Mohamed Al Zaabi has announced the development of new attractions at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi (FWAD) – including an indoor rollercoaster, zipline experiences, a Family Zone, as well as an opportunity to walk on the roof – which are scheduled to open during 2020.
The Family Zone is expected to open in March 2020, and will include a collection of rides and experiences for families.
Mission Ferrari – the latest rollercoaster at FWAD – will integrate features of a dark ride and a highspeed launch coaster with the performance of a looping coaster, and will also open this year.
In addition, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi (FWAD) – which already touts Formula Rossa, the world’s fastest rollercoaster – will offer visitors the opportunity to walk on the roof, and access a 400m-long zipline that will transport guests from and to the central FWAD building and across the Flying Aces Rollercoaster.
Miral has also built staff accommodation at its Yas Village development, which is being constructed by the UAE-based Al Rakha Group.
“I look forward to seeing my employees enjoying their time in their apartments, and commute less than five minutes to their wok,” Al Zaabi said.
The Miral CEO also mentioned that the highly-anticipated SkyTran magnetic levitation cable car is still in the testing stage in the US, and once it clears that stage will come under consideration from a business perspective in the UAE capital’s megadevelopment.
