Eagle Hills Sharjah is developing Maryam Island that features residential units, retail outlets, hotels, as well as souq
HE Marwan bin Jassim Al Sarkal, executive chairman of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) reviewed the construction progress on the Maryam Island project, which the government entity is developing in the cultural capital of the UAE alongside Eagle Hills Sharjah.
Located in close proximity to the Expo Centre Sharjah, Maryam Island is home to residential units, retail outlets, hotels, souq, and other facilities. The project also features a 900-metre-long promenade.
Maryam Island is one of three major developments, alongside Kalba Waterfront and Palace Al Khan, which represent Eagle Hills’ first foray into Sharjah.
In April 2018, Eagle Hills Sharjah, a joint venture between Shurooq and Eagle Hills, launched sales for Azure Beach Residence at Maryam Island on Sunday. The 458,000m2, mixed-use development is home to residential, hospitality, and retail properties in the centre of Sharjah.
Azure Beach Residence, the first residential property at the flagship project, features 164 units ranging from studios to three bedroom apartments.
Earlier this month, Eagle Hills Sharjah begun Phase 2 of the Maryam Island masterplan with the launch of Maryam Gate Residences.

The project comprises six low-rise buildings, offering access to the island’s main retail boulevard, internal garden spaces and canal views, including the emirate’s Mamzar and Al Khan beaches.
