Work on the first stage of the city’s development is progressing on schedule, according to the CEO of Khazaen Economic City
Oman’s Khazaen Economic City has inked two agreements to construct towers and boost telecommunications in the sultanate with the Oman Towers Company and the Oman Broadband Company – the government-owned firm mandated with building and developing the necessary broadband infrastructure.
The CEO of the Khazaen Economic City, Eng Khalid Al Balushi, stated that work to complete the first stage of the city’s development is progressing on schedule.
Emphasising the need to meet tenant requirements, Al Balushi added the telecommunications services were vital to company operations and to welcome early tenants in the city.
In the first stage of development, four to six towers will be constructed, the state-run Oman News Agency reported.
The expansion of the advanced broadband networks through optical fibre technologies are also in line with the economic diversification efforts in the sultanate.
