Germany's Schüco leases 8,400m2, 14 warehouses in UAE's SAIF Zone
Based in Germany’s Bielefeld, Schüco develops and sells system solutions for windows, doors, and façades
The Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) has revealed on its official Twitter account that Germany-based Schüco International KG will base its regional operations in the free zone, following a lease contract inked between the entities.
As part of the agreement, Schüco will lease 14 warehouses – covering a total area of 8,400m2 – making it the largest number of warehouses rented by a single company inside the free zone.
Based in Germany’s Bielefeld, Schüco develops and sells system solutions for windows, doors, and façades.
With more than 5,400 employees worldwide, the company operates in more than 80 countries and achieved a turnover of $1.88bn in 2018.

The deal was inked by the director of SAIF Zone, Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, and the executive senior vice president at Schüco International KG, Dr Jörg Westphal, in the presence of the managing director at Schüco Middle East, Ammar Alul, and the operations manager at Schüco Middle East, Stephan Weiss, as well as other senior officials, according to state-run news agency, Wam
Commenting on the deal, Al Mazrouei said: “Schüco’s decision to open a new branch in Sharjah is yet another global testament to the competitive advantages that we offer to investors looking forward to availing our growing investment opportunities in the real estate sector.”
He added: “Thanks to the wise vision of HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the emirate of Sharjah has grown to become an ideal destination for setting up businesses owning to the emirate’s sophisticated infrastructure, logistics services, growth-stimulating environment, strategic location, and the availability of numerous investment opportunities".
