Saudi's Qiddiya Investment Company's (QIC) has replanted and hosted 40 indigenous trees on the Qiddiya site, as part of its efforts to build a sustainable and bio-diverse environment.

The relocation and replantation activity of trees is part of Qiddiya's early earth works and representative of its commitment to "preserving the native resource ecosystem," the company has stated.

The process involves the relocation of native trees from Qiddiya's Resort Core and City Centre to other areas on the site.

Comprising of five steps, the activity will commence by digging around the base of the tree, which is then carefully placed in a crate. The crate is carried with the help of a crane to the spot where the tree will be replanted.

The final stage of the process includes close monitoring of the tree's adaptability to the environment and ground, Qiddiya authorities have explained.
