DoH to launch drive-through COVID-19 test centres across the UAE
HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed opened the first drive-through COVID-19 test centre at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi
Under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DoH) will open drive-through coronavirus (COVID-19) test centres across the country.
Abu Dhabi Government Media Office revealed on its Twitter account that, over the next 10 days, drive-through test centres will open in Dubai, Sharjah — which will also serve Ajman and Umm Al Quwain, — Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra.
Through the centres, DoH aims to provide rapid-response tests for citizens and residents across the country using the latest medical technology to combat the spread of the pandemic and further reduce its impact.
The announcement comes a day after Sheikh Mohamed unveiled the first drive-through COVID-19 test centre at Zayed Sports City that was launched by DoH in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA).

The fifth centre of-its-kind around the world, the facility will accelerate testing times, with a 5-minute testing procedure.
The Zayed Sports City test centre operates seven days a week, from 8AM to 8PM, and has an average capacity to conduct 600 tests a day.
