Drydocks World Dubai, a DP World company and the service provider to the marine, offshore, oil, gas and renewable energy sectors has completed construction on a Turret Mooring System (TMS) for floating production and mooring systems company SBM Offshore and energy company Equinor.

The system will be integrated with the Johan Castberg Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel in Singapore.

Drydocks World completed the TMS in four units, and performed the production engineering, procurement, construction and testing of system components.

The project delivery was completed with "4.98 million injury free man-hours," chief executive officer of Drydocks World Dubai, Capt. Rado Antolovic PhD, said.

Speaking about the health and safety measures observed during the execution of the project, Antolovic further said: "Despite the current challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have put every necessary measure in place to ensure our yard has the capabilities to keep production on-track, while keeping our employees safe, ultimately allowing us to deliver on our project commitments."

Drydocks World Dubai previously completed the world’s largest TMS for a SBM Offshore project.
