Jeddad's Al-Jawhara residential suburb features Al-Jawhara Residence, Bouvardia City project, and the Feynan project
Construction work has been progressing on 5,000 housing units within the Al-Jawhara suburb in Jeddah, an important residential project as part of Saudi Arabia’s Sakani Programme, an initiative by the Kingdom’s Ministry of Housing and the Real Estate Development Fund.
According to the timeline for the implementation of the projects, the ministry aims to increase residential ownership among its citizens to 70% by 2030, in line with its ambitious Vision 2020.
Located on the north of Jeddah on the Haramain Highway opposite King Abdulaziz International Sports City, the Al-Jawhara suburb shares close proximity to the Medina highway and King Abdulaziz International Airport as well as Jeddah Corniche.
The Saudi Press Agency reported that Sakani’s suburbs projects have in recent times witnessed an acceleration in the construction activities. These projects have marked an advanced completion, with three projects under construction and another under contract to add about 2,000 new units.
Modern techniques such as precast concrete formwork have been used for these projects, whilst adhering to the timeline of implementation and delivery.
The Al-Jawhara residential suburb is located on an area of 2km2, featuring educational, health, commercial and recreational facilities, in addition to green spaces surrounding the "Boulevard" walkway.
The residential development, once developed, will be home to the 990-unit Al-Jawhara Residence project, the Bouvardia City project, which will provide 2,246 housing units, and the Feynan project, which includes 1,351 units.
Electronic reservations for Al-Jawhara project that is implemented in partnership with the qualified real estate developers approved by the ministry can be availed through the Sakani website.
