Two of the most-read stories from the start of 2019 are examined by Construction Week's editorial team in the latest Construction Week Viewpoint podcast episode.

This episode of Construction Week Viewpoint reviews plans to add millions of square metres to the Dubai International Financial Centre, a project dubbed DIFC 2.0, to bolster the emirate's credentials as a regional finance leader.

The future of business ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan is also discussed after the two countries finalised a deal to build a multibillion-dollar oil refinery in Gwadar.
