Around 1,500 jobs will be created as Dubai's The Heart of Europe nears Phase 1 construction completion.

Kleindienst Group said it will create 1,500 engineering jobs in the first six months of 2019 as construction on its floating homes project, The Heart of Europe, in Dubai nears completion deadlines.

In a statement, the European property developer said its headcount doubled in 2018 as it worked on delivering Phase 1 construction activities for The Heart of Europe. January 2018 saw the company’s staff numbers at 878, and by December last year, the figure had noted a 100% hike to 1,672.

Kleindienst will hire 250 new staff each month between January and June 2019 to support Phase 1’s construction completion, as well as to kick off the construction and sales of The Heart of Europe’s Phases 2 and 3.

The Heart of Europe is a six-island development that is being touted as a ‘second-home’ and tourism destination. Among the vacancies currently open for the project are sales manager, sales director, and property consultant roles.

Commenting on the recruitment drive, Kleindienst Group’s chairman and founder, Josef Kleindienst, said: “It is only with a strong team that we will realise our vision for The Heart of Europe, [including our] architects, project managers, sales, marketing, operations to the construction workers.

“We have ambitious targets this year and will increase headcount as we need to ensure we hit our deadlines.”
