Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Barcelona loanee Dennis Suarez are among the Arsenal football players set to star against Al-Nasr Dubai on 26 March, 2019, for a match marking Al Maktoum Stadium’s official launch.

Arsenal, which beat Al-Nasr Club 3-1 in a 1976 match, takes on French side Rennes in a Europa League game on 14 March before flying to Dubai for warm-weather training during the international break.

Ahead of its Premier League run-in, Arsenal will spend five days in Dubai, where the team and staff will visit Rashid Paediatric Centre and the palace of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance.

Tickets for the football match will go on sale on 16 March, with prices ranging from $27 (AED100) to $40 (AED150).

The match will mark the official opening of Al Maktoum Stadium, where a renovation programme, completed in December 2018, increased capacity to 15,000.

Four television production studios and a press centre with room for up to 200 people were added to the Karama stadium as part of the revamp.

Al Maktoum Stadium has also been equipped with facial recognition technology to ensure the safety and security of fans and players during matches.
