Construction hits 60% on Abu Dhabi's Shakhbout City projects
Musanada is delivering critical infrastructure construction works worth $81-million for 354 plots within Shakhbout City
Abu Dhabi Public Services Company, also known as Musanada, has noted 60% completion on internal roads and infrastructure projects for 354 plots in Shakhbout City, with the $80.5m (AED295.7m) construction works being supported by Abu Dhabi City Municipality and Abu Dhabi Housing Authority.
Musanada is building 9.5km roads; and sewage (16.4km), stormwater drainage (10.3km), potable water (10.8km), and communications (7.4km) lines for the project.
Also under development are a 1.4km irrigation network, a 12km green belt, Etisalat lines, and 64 electricity substations, according to state news agency, Wam.
The Shakhbout City project is part of the Abu Dhabi Plan, which is aimed at improving the quality of services delivered for citizens and residents in the UAE capital.
In September 2018, Abu Dhabi launched a $5.4bn (AED20bn) development plan called Ghadan 21 to boost the emirate’s real estate, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects.
