UAE real estate developer Arada has released a video showcasing construction progress at its 2.2km2 Aljada development, a $6.5bn (AED24bn) project in Sharjah.

Drone footage in the video shows highlights of the work under way at Aljada, and shows progress that is being made at Aljada's seven Areej Apartments buildings.

Also shown in the video is progress on Rehan Apartments, and Phase 1 of the Zaha Hadid Architects-designed Central Hub.

The first phase of Central Hub, which includes Arada’s sales centre, an outdoor cinema space, a food truck village, and a skate park, is due to open in September 2019.

Arada, founded in the UAE, plans to expand its markets this year, and will increase its focus on key regions such as Saudi Arabia, India, and Oman through the course of 2019, CEO Ahmed Alkhoshaibi told Construction Week earlier this year.
