Mirdif Hills is a 37.5ha project in Dubai.

The $816.7m (AED3bn) Mirdif Hills project – which is being developed by Dubai Investments Real Estate Co (DIRC), a subsidiary of Dubai Financial Market-listed Dubai Investments – recorded 1.1 million safe-man hours at the end of March 2019, general manager of DIRC, Obaid Mohammed Al Salami, told Construction Week.

Mirdif Hills spans across an area of 37.5ha, and has Engineering Contracting Co (ECC) involved as its main contractor. Advanced Building Constructions Co implemented excavation and enabling work for the 37.5ha project.

Commenting on the development, Al Salami said construction work was 75% complete for the project as of March 2019.

ECC has deployed 4,200 workers at Mirdif Hills' construction site, who are working in two shifts on site. Another 200 engineers, construction managers, and DIRC employees are also present at the project's site office.

According to Dubai Investments, Mirdif Hills, located adjacent to Mushrif Park, is the first freehold development in the Mirdif neighbourhood.

Al Salami said DIRC expected to complete construction work on Mirdif Hills' Janayen and Nasayem Avenues by June 2019, while work on the Multaqa Avenue is scheduled to wind up in March 2020, ahead of Expo 2020 Dubai
