Dubai's ICD Brookfield Place to get 6,500 RT of Empower cooling
Dubai's upcoming 54-floor landmark will be cooled through Empower's district cooling plant in DIFC
The UAE's Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) has launched a connection to deliver 6,500 refrigeration units (RT) of district cooling to the ICD Brookfield Place project in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
Under the scope of the project, Empower will connect the structure with its district cooling plant in DIFC, according to Construction Week’s sister title MEP Middle East.
Spanning 10.2ha, IDC Brookfield Place comprises 54 floors, and will be connected to district cooling through a three-phased process.
The news comes weeks after Empower connected its district cooling plant to Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences providing 10,650 RT of cooling.
Empower has adopted artificial intelligence (AI) for its under-construction plant in Dubai’s Jumeirah Village Circle.
Upon completion, the 50,000 RT plant will use AI to monitor and adjust the inflow and outflow of chilled water.
