Construction work on Oman’s Adam-Haima-Thumrait Road dualisation project is partly complete, with 140km of the road recently inaugurated by the sultanate’s Ministry of Transport and Communications.

The recently launched areas included a 20km stretch.

The second part of the project spans 120km, comprising six underground tunnels and an upper bridge at the intersections of the road that lead to the wilayat of Mahout and the Economic area of Duqm.

Part 2 of the road starts from Qarn Al Alam and ends at Saih Al Zamaiem.

According to a report by Oman News Agency, the remaining stages of the project will be completed by the end of 2019.
