Omran will open the W Muscat hotel on 12 June.

American hospitality giant Marriott International is set to open the W Muscat hotel, developed by the sultanate’s Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran), on 12 June.

Omran launched the W Muscat in July 2016, alongside the JW Marriott hotel that is set to open in Q3 2019; and the Crowne Plaza in Oman’s Madinat Al Irfan

Located in the Oman’s Shatti Al Qurum area, W Muscat is a 279-key property comprising 251 rooms and 29 suites, in addition to amenities such as a ballroom, restaurants, a fitness centre, a spa, and meeting rooms.

Guests of W Muscat will be able to access Royal Opera House Muscat through a pedestrian bridge.

According to information published on Omran's website, 100 Omani staff were appointed at the hotel last month, in line with the country's Omanisation drive to boost citizen employment across various sectors.
