Actor-politician Sunny Deol reviews progress of India-Pakistan road

Indian actor-turned-politician and newly-elected parliament member of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janta Party in Gurdaspur, Punjab, Sunny Deol, reviewed the construction progress of Kartarpur corridor, a road link being built for Sikh pilgrims in India to visit the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan.
The foundation stone for the construction of the corridor on the Indian side was laid on 26 November, 2018, followed by its ground-breaking ceremony on the Pakistan side two days later.
According to Indian daily Times of India, Deol was accompanied by chief executive officer of highway contractor Ceigall India Limited, Jeetendra Singh, and officials from National Highway Authority of India, Gurdaspur police, and India's Border Security Forces.
