Oneic wins $29m contract from Oman Electricity Transmission Co

Muscat-listed company says will develop Mirbat GS and OHL over a 20-month period

Oman's Oneic has won a $29m contract.

Muscat Securities Market-listed Oman National Engineering & Investment Co (Oneic) has been awarded a construction contract worth $28.8m (OMR11.1m) from Oman Electricity Transmission Co, company chief executive officer, Rashid Alghailani, said.

Under the contract, Oneic will build the 132kV and 133 kV Mirbat GS with a capacity of 2x63 megavolt amps (MVA), and an associated 132kV overhead line (OHL) from Ashoor GS to Mirbat GS.

The project will span 20 months, and commence from the date of the letter of award, Oneic said in a statement.
