Saudi's first healthcare PPP project has kicked off.

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health has opened tenders inviting healthcare service providers to participate in its first public-private partnership (PPP) project, a development comprising radiology and medical imaging services across various Riyadh hospitals. 

The deadline to submit expressions of interest 1 July, 2019, and the PPP project is expected to provide improved healthcare access to more than one million people in the Saudi capital. 

According to Construction Week's sister title Arabian Business, the ministry said the PPP project was a major step forward for the business model in the kingdom.
