Millennium, Copthorne Makkah Al Naseem hotels open in Saudi Arabia
Both properties are located within Makkah City Centre's Al Rajhi Complex and will serve pilgrims to Arafat, Mina, and Muzdalifah
The Millennium and Copthorne Makkah Al Naseem hotels – part of Al Rajhi Complex within Makkah City Centre's Al Naseem District – have been launched in partnership with the Sulaiman A Al Rajhi Real Estate Investments Company, with their operator stating that the facilities would serve as "a convenient location" for pilgrims visiting Saudi Arabia's Holy Sites, including Arafat, Mina, and Muzdalifah.
Millennium Hotels and Resorts MEA said the facilities add 1,307 keys to the 4,067 it operates in Saudi Arabia.
The Millennium Makkah Al Naseem hotel includes 631 standard rooms, in addition to 190 suites fitted out with marble bathrooms.
Copthorne Makkah Al Naseem offers 431 standard rooms of 25m2 and 55 suites of 43m2, in addition to 10 meeting and conference rooms that can accommodate a total of 300 guests.
Commenting on the hotels' launch, Millennium Hotels and Resorts MEA’s chief executive officer, Kevor Deldelian, said: “The new hotels will primarily serve pilgrims; a great responsibility and a prominent mission deep-rooted in throughout the history and traditions of the Holy City.
"We look forward to seeing these properties among top hotels within the Makkah province.”
Sulaiman A Al Rajhi Real Estate’s CEO, Khalid Saud Abuhaimed, added: “We are witnessing a huge leap in the development of Al Rajhi Complex and these new openings represent an essential part of the complex complementing its comprehensive facilities.”
