Project management, engineering, manufacturing, and construction firm KNM Group, which specialises in renewable energy, power, utilities, refining, and petrochemicals projects, has won a $8.7m (RM36.1m) contract for the Middle East Oil Refinery (Midor) project in Alexandria, Egypt from Technip FMC.

In a stock market filing, the Malaysian company said the contract was awarded to its indirectly and wholly owned subsidiary, FBM Hudson Italiana.

The scope of the work includes providing design, detailed engineering, and fabrication services for air-cooler heat exchangers at Midor.

According to KNM Group, the purchase order is expected to be completed within 14 months.

Earlier this year, Construction Week's sister title Refining and Petrochemicals Middle East reported that Technip FMC had commenced engineering, procurement, and construction work on the modernisation and expansion of Midor’s complex near Alexandria.
