China's Baofeng Grain Mills will produce 250,000kg of fresh rice noodles every day when operations commence
The UAE’s Dubai Industrial Park will be home to the first rice noodle factory in the Middle East, as the Tecom-owned entity partners with China’s Baofeng Grain Mills – part of Baofeng Grain & Oil Group – amid an increase in Chinese spend across the region.
In a statement, Dubai Industrial Park said the commencement of operations at the light industrial unit was imminent, and the project is expected to have the production capacity of 250,000kg of fresh rice noodles every day.
Commenting on the project, managing director of Dubai Industrial City, Saud Abu Al-Shawareb, said: “The new business [factory] reinforces our commitment in the manufacturing of fast-moving consumer goods.
"Food production is among the target sub-sectors of the Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030.”
