Yu Tao-led CSCEC ME wins contract for Emaar's Marina Vista in Dubai
Chinese contractor to build and deliver MEP works for the Emaar Beachfront project, comprising two residential buildings
China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCEC ME) has been awarded a contract by Dubai Financial Market-listed Emaar to build the Marina Vista homes within its Emaar Beachfront project, with the Yu Tao-led contracting giant also chosen to deliver mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works for the development.
Overlooking Palm Jumeirah, Emaar’s Maria Vista has a construction area of 12ha.
CSCEC ME said in a statement that it had been tasked with the construction of two residential buildings, a 35-storey and 45-storey tower each, for Marina Vista.
Tao, president and chief executive officer of CSCEC ME, was ranked #2 in 2019 Construction Week Power 100.
He told Construction Week earlier this month that the company was “actively involved” in the tender process for the $1bn (AED3.67bn) super-tall Dubai Creek Tower, which is being jointly developed by Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding as part of the 6km2 Dubai Creek Harbour master development.
The contractor is also working on Damac’s Aykon City on Sheikh Zayed Road, and Package A for Stage 2 of Etihad Rail.
