Bilfinger Tebodin Middle East wins Feed contracts from UAE's Adnoc
German company's contracts include engineering services for a wastewater treatment plant within a refinery complex in Ruwais
Mannheim-headquartered construction and engineering firm Bilfinger said the Middle Eastern arm of its consulting and engineering firm, named Bilfinger Tebodin, had been awarded multiple front-end engineering design (Feed) contracts from Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc).
Under the terms of the Feed contracts, Bilfinger Tebodin Middle East will provide engineering services for a new wastewater treatment plant within a refinery complex in Ruwais.
The firm will also deliver a basic design and detailed engineering package to enhance existing sulphur dust control systems at two sulphur-handling facilities.
Country director of the UAE for Bilfinger Tebodin Middle East, Marco van der Linden, said the contracts would help the company expand its role in the UAE’s hydrocarbon industry.
In May 2019, the German firm revealed it had been awarded three contracts from Adnoc in the first quarter of 2019 for the oil giant’s refining unit in Ruwais.
Bilfinger was also awarded a $66.8m (SAR250.4m) contract by Sabic UK Petrochemicals Ltd earlier this year to provide mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineering services for its Teesside site.
