Oman's Oneic wins $117m Salalah Sanitary Drainage Services contract

Muscat Securities Market–listed Oman National Engineering and Investment Company (Oneic) has won a $117.3m (OMR45.1m) contract from Salalah Sanitary Drainage Services Company to build, operate, and transfer a sewage network for Sahalnoot district in Salalah.

According to a stock market missive undersigned by chief executive officer of Oneic, Rashid Alghailani, the contract has been awarded for a period of 17.5 years, and will commence from the date of the letter of order.

The contract win marks another major win for Oneic. 

Earlier this month, the company was awarded a construction contract worth $28.8m (OMR11.1m) by Oman Electricity Transmission Co, which involved the construction of the 132kV and 133 kV Mirbat GS with a capacity of 2x63 megavolt amps (MVA), and an associated 132kV overhead line (OHL) from Ashoor GS to Mirbat GS.
